Rizq has always been a step forward when it comes to feeding Pakistan. As a response to COVID-19, relief efforts were initiated to reach the masses.

The campaign was initiated by Aisam-ul-Haq the National tennis star who is also an ambassador for the cause of Rizq for a #HungerFreePakistan. He personally came on ground and pledged to reach maximum families across the country, through his foundation, Stop War Start Tennis. Hence, in order to scale up the efforts against coronavirus, Stars Against Hunger was initiated.

The movement mobilized National and International sport stars who have donated their signed memorabilias for auction with all the proceeds going to support Rizq’s cause of feeding 100,000 families. The movement showcased one of its kind roadshows, setting its foot in every province of Pakistan, holding press conferences and spreading the aim for a #HungerFreePakistan.

Press conferences were held in Lahore, Islamabad, Multan and Sialkot and stars joined the movement along the way, making the campaign one of the best youth mobilizing movements. Aisam-ul-Haq accompanied the team Rizq and showed the memorabilia to define the importance of the movement and bring everyone to one cause. The purpose of this roadshow was to spread the message of compassion to the greater masses.

Hence, Stars Against Hunger movement got bigger and better and gained popularity among the stars. The cause was joined by many tennis players like Sania Mirza, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas who agreed to contribute their memorabilia to auction for raising donations for the hunger eradication campaign and providing relief to COVID affected families of Pakistan. Other stars include Jahangir Khan, Shoaib Malik, Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar,Amir Khan and Cafu who have also joined the cause. These merchandise include Sania Mirza’s tennis racket, Roger Federer’s shoes, Amir Khan’s gloves, Shahbaz Senior’s hockey stick and Cafu’s shirt.

Aisam-ul Haq, being the eminent part of the campaign, donated cash worth 1 Million rupees that he got from the Government of Pakistan during his South Asian Federation (SAF) games in 2019.

The Stars Against Hunger movement gained more momentum when it got covered by International and National medias like aljazeera, Geo Super, Hum News, The News, Ary Sports and various others news channels/print media and social media.

The campaign was highlighted in various cities of Pakistan including Karachi, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad and Sialkot through billboards, as a kind support by our PR partner Kinetics.

The efforts of Rizq for COVID affected families were recognized by Her Majesty The Queen where team rizq was appointed “Commonwealth Point of Light” awards and congratulated the team during a phone call hosted by British High Commissioner Dr Christian Turner CMG.
